Frequently Asked Questions

Your jewellery will usually arrive in a simple card gift box, within a letterbox friendly cardboard mailing box. It will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked or Special Delivery depending on the value, so will require a signature on arrival. Postage costs are included within the price of your piece.

I hope that you will be very happy with your jewellery, but if it is not what you were expecting for any reason, you may return it for a full refund within 14 days. Please contact me to let me know that you are returning it and send it by Tracked or Special Delivery. I cannot issue a refund until I have the piece returned to me in its original packaging. Please note that I do not refund the cost of return postage.

In the shop section sizes of pieces and options for alternative chain lengths / bangle sizes are given. If you would like a size other than these, please contact me.

Bangle sizing is for a round bangle and is as follows:

  • small size - 6.5 cm diameter

  • medium size - 7cm diameter

  • large size - 7.5cm diameter

Rings are sized using the British alphabetical system. If you don’t know your ring size, you can ask your local jeweller to measure your finger! If you know your size using the American sizing system I can convert this. It is usual to go up a size for wide band rings for comfort.

I hope you will enjoy your jewellery for many years to come. Care of your jewellery varies depending on whether it has a high polish (shiny silver) or has a patina (deliberately oxidised or darkened to emphasize the texture).

Patinated pieces. The patina may darken further and develop with age and wear. Some areas may lighten with contact. This is natural and will enhance your piece - as it settles in to being worn by you! If needed, you can refresh the brighter polished areas by rubbing with a soft cloth or using the back of a teaspoon to burnish the raised areas. Do not use silver polish or an ultrasonic cleaner.

Polished pieces. These may be polished if needed using a silver cleaning cloth. Keeping them in a sealed plastic bag if not being worn regularly will help stop natural oxidation (tarnish).

All pieces. Please avoid contact with chemicals such as cosmetics, sunscreen and cleaning products. Take off your jewellery when swimming or in the shower. Try not to drop pieces with stones, these can crack if dropped on a hard surface.

Neck rings and neck wires. Neck rings (open at the back) may be gently shaped to fit the wearer. To fit the natural curve of your neck, if needed you can carefully bend your neck ring across your thigh with the opening to one side. If the neck rings feels too loose or is uncomfortable to put on you can gently push the ends together or pull them apart. You can also adjust the curve of a neck wire by bending over your thigh with the hooks to one side.

Cuffs or open bangles. These are designed to be put on sideways onto the narrower side of your wrist, then turned to the right position. Please do not try to bend them ‘open and closed’ as doing this repeatedly will weaken the silver and may cause it to crack. You may however adjust the cuff when you first start wearing it to get the right fit for your wrist.

In accordance with UK law all my pieces with more than 7.78g silver or 1g of gold are hallmarked at the London Assay Office using my maker’s mark. More information here

I do not currently ship pieces out of the UK.

The one of a kind pendants that I make are generally sold on their own without a chain or neckring. The larger  pieces usually look best on a neckring (open at the back) or  neckwire (has a hook fastening). These are a lovely and elegant way to wear these pieces. They are also interchangeable, in that if you buy a neckring or wire, you can wear any of my larger pieces on it, or even wear it on its own! You do not need to buy a separate ring or wire for each piece. They are comfortable to wear and not so commonly seen - so you will stand out wearing one! I do sell them in different sizes, you can have different ones to suit different clothing necklines, but on the whole I find I wear the same two most of the time, above a lower neckline or on top of a jersey or high neckline.
